Hierba Buena is a 1 hectare lot in the La Hierba section of Pavones Costa Rica. The property is at about 190 meters of elevation giving you impressive views and a cooler breeze. The lot has a couple of cleared building sites called “plantels” here in Costa Rica. The property has plenty of water and even has the La Hierba creek as its rear boundary. The La Hierba creek has water year round and you can easily build a well close to the creek and pump it up to the house up top like we all do here. This area of Pavones is wild hence the name La Hierba which translates to “The weeds” because its pretty jungled out. Because its wild you will see many exotic creatures in the area like Sloths, wild hogs, Ocelots, Scarlett Macaws, Coatis, Jaguarundis and many more. In an 8 minute drive you will be down at the beach in La Hierba which is very natural and has massive trees lining it. There is a nice surfable wave there but just a little further away is the legend that drives our economy, the famous Pavones Point wave. The wave at Pavones Point is the best in Costa Rica in my opinion and one of the best in the world. Besides the famous Pavones Point, we also have its lesser know little brother, Pilon Main Point which is just as amazing as the Pavones Point wave in my opinion but just slightly slower. Besides the surf, La Hierba is a great place for bird watching and hiking. Our seas are also full of fish due to the commercial fishing bans in the Golfo Dulce making our area a great destination for fishing enthusiast.
