Many people erroneously believe that Costa Rica does not have a Multiple Listing System. This is not true as there are actually a few MLS systems, which is part of the problem as all of the information is not centralized on one system and they don’t share. Keller Williams Costa Rica realized there was a problem with the way real estate was set up in Costa Rica. Agents only showed their own listings and those agents would not cooperate with one another. Keller Williams Costa Rica joined many other large franchises including Remax, Coldwell Banker and Century 21 to bring order to real estate. The CRGAR (Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors) was formed and together with CCBR (Cámara de Corredores de Bienes Raices) created a non profit MLS system to benefit agents…but mostly to benefit the consumer since now agents can show eachother’s properties and have access to a database shared by the most ethical real estate agents in Costa Rica. Still don’t believe me?….. That’s why I created this page so that you may search our database on your own. That’s right, you can search the Costa Rican MLS right here. Our system is not yet perfect…. it displays the listing agent’s information, which is why you won’t find many agents’ websites displaying this information.
